As I near the completion of my undergraduate degree, I am beginning to focus more intentionally on what comes next and how I want to continue developing within the cybersecurity field.
I have been accepted into graduate programs at Norwich University for a Master’s in Cybersecurity and at Nova Southeastern University for a Master’s in Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity. At this point, I am leaning toward pursuing the program at Nova Southeastern University, as it closely aligns with my interest in applying artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to cybersecurity challenges.
In addition to these acceptances, I have submitted graduate applications to Georgia Institute of Technology, Florida International University, and the University of South Florida. Each of these programs represents a different approach to advanced technical education, and together they reflect my goal of building a strong foundation that combines cybersecurity, data-driven analysis, and emerging technologies.
Modern cybersecurity is increasingly shaped by automation, large-scale data analysis, and intelligent systems. I am particularly interested in how AI and machine learning can enhance threat detection, behavioral analysis, and incident response, while still being applied responsibly and ethically. My academic and professional experiences have reinforced that these tools will play a growing role in how organizations defend complex systems.
Alongside my graduate school plans, I have accepted an offer to serve as an IT Security Analyst intern with ADT this summer. This opportunity will allow me to continue gaining hands-on experience while applying both my undergraduate training and my developing interest in advanced security technologies.
Looking ahead, my focus is on continued growth both technically and professionally. I am committed to building depth in cybersecurity while expanding into AI and machine learning, with the long-term goal of contributing meaningfully in environments where security, reliability, and innovation intersect.
